We climbed the 5.9 "Godzilla". It was nice and featured a right facing flake as well as some thin hand crack. The granite was beautiful.
This was Chipper's first ever trad (real) climb. He was gripped, he did fantastic.

You can see when he joined me on the ledge, he wasn't in a great mood. After we took in the view moral increased and we went down for lunch and then kayaking.

I ran Boulder Drop, personal first decent. Susan ran Boulder Drop too, she swam on day one and me on day two. I swam through Ned's Needle, it wasn't as bad as everyone thought it'd be. Actually, I got more beat up on the successful run.. I got upside down under the middle of the main ledge at the bottom.

We camped right on the river and I set up a line for every one to dry their boating cloths. The weather was fantastic, I slept well.

The fine folks at Herkimer were kind enough to let me on the Synesso in their training area. Leading into the next round of competition, I need all the Synesso time I can get. I felt bad about using their milk up, so I'll head back some time with a jug in tow. I just can't believe how much better the milk is off the Synesso, I really can't match it at work.
